Diagnostic Imaging Services (Radiology)
The Department of Radiology provides a variety of medical imaging services. We perform more than 2,500 exams per month and touch many lives every day in the National Capital Region. We strive to provide the best access to care and the most accurate diagnoses from the highest quality images in a professional and patient-friendly environment.
Range of Services
Our services include:
- Radiography
- Computed Tomography (CT)
- Screening Mammography
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Ultrasound
- Fluoroscopic Guided procedures.
Appointments
You need an appointment for all services, except routine X-rays.
You must meet the following criteria to get a routine mammogram screening:
- Women age 40 years and older
- No personal history of breast cancer
- Asymptomatic
- Not experiencing symptoms such as lumps, discharge or pain
- Must have previous mammograms available for comparison
- Screening exam will only be given 4 weeks following the final COVID-19 vaccination dose
Requests from Outside Providers
We accept imaging requests/consults from civilian providers outside the Military Health System. The original prescription or order from the civilian provider must be legible, include the provider’s name, address, phone number, and signed by the provider.
Radiology Reports and Images
Radiology reports and images are available for pick up at our front desk. You may also request reports through the Patient Administration department.
